Love Letter

A love letter is something that you write to someone else to express your devotion and love to them, but what if you were to write a love letter to yourself? I titled this photo series this because I wanted to explore the concept of self-love and wanted me to take time out to think about themselves and see their own opinions on self-love.

I worked with four people in a collaborative effort to create imagery that they loved on themselves by allowing them control of the styling and choice of location, to be able to make sure that I could create images that they were confident with. After doing this I then asked each of them a series of questions about themselves and about self-love and then used their answers to create collages that were reflective on their answers.

In a growing age of social media I find it important that people make sure to slow down and to stop comparing themselves to other people and see what an amazing person is standing in front them when they look at themselves in the mirror.
