A Latent Year

My name is Kari, and I specialize in film photography. I’m 16 and I live in California, US. I’m in the midst of making my own magazine, so you can find more of my work on instagram @versesmag.

The following pieces were taken to look whimsical and soft, like something from a dream or a memory. The overall collection is called “A Latent Year”. The idea behind the photo collection is to create a surreal landscape through my photos that is not fully developed, and it leaves it to the viewer to draw the parallels between images. Every interpretation is different, and I think that’s what makes it kinda beautiful. All of these photos were taken over a year-long period, and captured the whole year in a dream-like haze.
