Smile for me
Changing the way I act, almost feels too natural now.
Today expects smiles and laughter,
tomorrow relishes in your pain.
What am I but an emotional whore?
Use me for what am I,
but leave a piece when you leave.
I beg of you.
When the night comes,
and all my melodies are drained,
I can’t help but dance in the silence,
it’s so beautiful for me,
always there, always ready.
It gets tiring, all the charade.
But for now,
as long as the audience is entertained.
Aren’t we all whores for something?
