I photographed this group of photos during the spring this year. Film photography had my creativity flourishing. I wanted to capture a picturesque picnic during golden hour. I wanted it to feel laidback with a “do what I want” attitude whilst capturing some detail shots. I pulled props and an outfit focusing on using complementary colors blues and orange. I also wanted to call the collection “Park Culture” because in todays society with Instagram every moment always has to look aesthetic, i.e. why I wanted to use fancy glass cups and plates, as always I gave the model direction and an idea of what I would like to get out of a shoot. From there I usually say take that Idea and put their personality into it so its more natural. Ellis was really fun to work with and I was so happy with the final result of these photos.

For this shoot I wanted to focus on using warmer tones. Just like most of my shoots it was pretty laidback and natural. I knew I wanted the vibe to be carefree with an elegant beauty (if that makes sense). I was hoping for the skies to be colorful but it ended up being kind of cloudy, which ended working out well. Since I enjoy the kind of calm natural beauty that came with it, plus it made the dress pop.

Apart from film I also shot a lot digitally. When I work digitally I love shooting portraits. My shoots are usually super relaxed; I enjoy capturing those in between moments. This work has me constantly improving and pushing my creativity. I’ve also met with a lot of great people doing shoots like these, so that’s a plus.
