Copy Room Interlude

This set was solely created out of creators block and was just an idea that popped in my head after visiting my mother’s job. There’s a copy room there that instantly made me think of how I could potentially turn it into something entirely different, evoking a cinematic feel. Because of the pandemic and personal occurrences, I had to take a break from photography which actually pushed me to want to bring my ideas into fruition even more. I wanted to play with lighting and direction to get the winning shots, as well as to exercise my creativity. I creatively directed, styled, shot, and edited this set! Miniature lights with colored gels/ a projector was used in order to add whimsical yet eerie elements to the photos. I love adding mystery and leaving the viewer with any interpretation of the “story” that’s unraveling. This was also an excuse to hang out with my best friend who was modeling in the shoot!
